    Square Enix Officially Announces Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete Theater Run

    Square Enix officially announced this morning that Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will be heading to US theaters next month. This is the first time the Complete version of the film will air in theaters. More than 650 theaters will screen the film in both English and Japanese. The film will air in the United States on February 21 in English (Dub) and February 22 in Japanese (Sub). The version of the film airing is the 4K remaster, released in 2021.

    As a reminder, tickets are now available to purchase, which you can learn more about here. The film is now airing in Japan, with special bonuses being distributed to those who attend. 

    Alongside the release of Advent Children Complete in theaters, a special short film for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will premiere before the film. This will include “new interviews with the FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH development team and ADVENT CHILDREN creators alongside action-packed gameplay from the game.” This was discovered when listings for the US release of Advent Children Complete were found.

    Square Enix has now provided a more detailed overview of this short film:

    “Fans are encouraged to arrive early to their showings for exclusive introductory content, including a history of FINAL FANTASY VII and its connection to FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN, in particular. Witness gameplay from FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH and enjoy new interviews with FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN director and FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE creative director Tetsuya Nomura, FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH director Naoki Hamaguchi and producer Yoshinori Kitase, who will give unique insight into the production of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH and the remake project as a whole.”
