    The Apothecary Diaries Casts Kōki Uchiyama for Episode 14

    Another new character makes their debut in the second cour.

    The official Twitter account for The Apothecary Diaries anime series reveals that Kōki Uchiyama will play the role of Rikuson in episode 14. Rikuson is Lakan’s subordinate in the second cour of the anime.

    The Apothecary Diaries anime series made its debut on October 22, 2023. As a two-cour series, fans can expect 24 episodes in total. The first cour ended on December 24, and the second cour began with Jinshi buying Maomao out of her courtesanship to bring her back to the emperor’s palace. The second cour continues with 11 more episodes, 

    Kōki Uchiyama Joins The Apothecary Diaries Cast

    Fans may recognize Kōki Uchiyama from his numerous roles in anime and games, including Toge Inumaki from Jujutsu Kaisen, Rean Schwarzer from the Trails series, and Tomura Shigaraki from My Hero Academia. The next role for Kōki Uchiyama will be Rikuson in episode 14 of The Apothecary Diaries, which airs on January 13. Rikuson works under Lakan, who is voiced by Takuya Kirimoto. Koari Nazuka will also join the cast as lady Suirei. 

    New episodes of The Apothecary Diaries will stream on Saturdays at 10:45 a.m. PDT / 1:45 p.m. EDT on Crunchyroll. In Japan, episodes air on Sundays at 12:55 a.m. JST. wacci performs the new ending theme song “Ai wa Kusuri” (Love is Medicine) in the second cour of The Apothecary Diaries. Uru performs the new opening theme song “Ambivalent.”
