Tekken 8 Shares Alisa Reveal & Gameplay Trailer

    The Destroying Automaton.

Bandai Namco released a new Tekken 8 gameplay trailer for Alisa, another returning fan-favorite character from Tekken 7! She’s known as the “Destroying Automaton” in Tekken 8.

A free Tekken 8 demo is available now, allowing players to try out the game’s single-player modes before launch. Only one month remains before the game’s launch, and Bandai Namco is releasing various trailers focusing on each character on the roster.

Tekken 8 Alisa Reveal & Gameplay Trailer

Although she was originally built to protect Jin Kazama, Alisa was finally freed of her commands by Dr. Bosconovitch. She vows to protect Lars Alexandersson, who she developed feelings for in the events of Tekken 6. Alisa will fight alongside him in Tekken 8 once more.

Here’s an excerpt of Alisa’s character bio, via Tekken 8’s official website:

Alisa Bosconovitch is an android built for the sole purpose of protecting Jin Kazama, the former head of the Mishima Zaibatsu.

Designed to always abide by Jin’s orders, Alisa’s control over her own actions was temporarily overridden by her master, forcing her to engage in a battle to the death against Lars Alexandersson, despite her feelings for him. The battle caused her systems to shut down.

The Tekken 8 demo features the first chapter of “The Dark Awakens” story and a sample of Arcade Quest. In addition, players gain access to Super Ghost Battle after clearing the first chapter of Arcade Quest in the demo. The Versus and Gallery modes are also available with partial access. Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Paul Phoenix, and Nina Williams are the four playable characters for the Tekken 8 demo. Save data doesn’t transfer to the full version, however.

Lastly, Tekken 8 launches January 26, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Tekken 8 physical and digital pre-orders are now available, and players can score new Paul Phoenix avatar costumes as an added pre-order bonus.
