Bandai Namco announced a free Tekken 8 demo will be available on December 14 for PlayStation 5 and December 21 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. The demo gives players access to various modes from the full game, including a sample of the Story mode.
Only one month remains before the launch of Tekken 8, and Bandai Namco ensured the entire base roster was revealed before then. 32 characters will be playable next January, and Harada teases that more could arrive as DLC guest characters. Before launch, players may get acquainted with the systems of Tekken 8 in a free demo.
Tekken 8 Demo Content and Characters
Unlike the closed beta test, the Tekken 8 demo focuses on giving players a glimpse into the single-player modes of the new fighting game. Players will have access to the first chapter of “The Dark Awakens” story and Arcade Quest respectively. In addition, players gain access to Super Ghost Battle after clearing the first chapter of Arcade Quest in the demo. The Versus and Gallery modes are also available with partial access.
Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Paul Phoenix, and Nina Williams are the four playable characters for the Tekken 8 demo. The demo includes the Urban Square (Evening), Yakushima, and Sanctum stages as well. Save data from the demo will not transfer to the full game, and online play is not available in the demo, too.
