Super Smash Bros Ultimate New Spirits Event Brings The Best of 2023

According to the game’s official Twitter account, the new “Assemble! Spirits From The Latest Series” Spirits event will begin on January 11 in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. This new Spirit Board event includes the Spirits from 2022 and 2023’s biggest Nintendo Switch games:

The event will last for five days, so it’s expected to end sometime on January 16. Defeating the new Spirits in battle will award more gold than usual. As a reminder, gold may be used to purchase new music, Mii costumes, Spirit, and snacks for Spirits from the Vault Shop.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was released on December 8, 2018, for Nintendo Switch. Two Fighter’s Pass expansions were released, adding a total of twelve new fighters to the game. The game’s roster is dream-like, with characters like Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Joker from Persona 5, Sora from Kingdom Hearts, and many more. Over one hundred stages and one thousand music tracks are featured in the game alongside its 89 fighters.

In 2024, Super Smash Bros series director Masahiro Sakurai is “wrapping up” his YouTube channel. He’s committed to creating and developing new games in the future, so he may be working on an all-new game right now.
