SEGA reveal multiple new updates are coming to Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis in the first half of 2024, and a roadmap gives an idea of what’s to come. Players may also enjoy various in-game campaigns and rewards starting December 27, as the Super Genesis Festival continues.
The Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Super Genesis Festival celebrates the game’s 2.5 anniversary. Players may enjoy new Scratch Tickets, additional bonuses, limited-time events, and a catch-up campaign for new and returning players through January 2024. Players may earn up to 140 free draws from the latest SG Scratch Ticket campaign, which begins on December 27 alongside several other campaigns.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis January Updates
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis kicks off the new year on January 1, 2024 with the first of many new updates. The January 1 update brings the limited-time New Year ’24 event with new Snome Rappy and Emperappy enemies, new decorations for Central City and Retem City, and Xiandy’s return as the event navigator. Players may also look forward to the New Year’s Remix Line and NGS Emote Revival Scratch Tickets on January 1. On January 3, players will have access to limited-time tasks and title tasks. Completing tasks and other activities grants players Seasonal Points, which may be used at Xiandy’s Exchange Shop for rewards.
The Winter ’24 Event begins on January 10, with new winter-themed decorations for Central City and Retem City. Xiemi will be the event navigator this time around, and Randomite will appear in the Retem region. Once more, players may complete new limited-time tasks to earn Seasonal Points and obtain valuable rewards from the Exchange Shop. Moreover, the Practice Drill: The Chillest Chase will be available as a limited-time quest, and the Modish Winter ’24 AC Scratch Ticket will be live with new wintry attire.
On January 17, Mission Pass NGS Season 28 and multiple SG Scratch Tickets will be available. In addition, The Seven Deadly Sins collaboration will begin with a new AC Scratch Ticket featuring Meliodias, Elizabeth, and Diane outfits, new weapon camos, and much more. One week later, the Nex Vera Suppression Op V.2 limited-time quest and new limited-time tasks will be available on January 24.
2024 Roadmap
A new roadmap for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis updates launching in the first half of 2024 was revealed. Players can expect an additional Kvaris High Rank, new story quests, limited-time quests, a class level cap increase to 85, a NIJISANJI collaboration, and much more from January 31 through March 2024. In April through May 2024, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will celebrate its third anniversary and host collaborations with shonen anime and games from other companies. During the summer, SEGA will celebrate the 12th anniversary of the original Phantasy Star Online 2 with a new field, new story quests, a new Action system, and more anime collaborations.
