HoYoverse released an exciting new trailer for Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6, highlighting playable 5-star character Ruan Mei. Following the Path of Harmony, Ruan Mei is the 81th member of the Genius Society.
On December 27, Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6 will bring new story content, limited-time events, and new playable characters, including Ruan Mei and Xueyi. The new Honkai: Star Rail update is available to pre-download right now, and HoYoverse provides another sneak peek of Ruan Mei before the update launches.
Honkai: Star Rail Trailer Gives Ruan Mei the Spotlight
In Honkai: Star Rail, Ruan Mei is a support character capable of greatly increasing the Break Effect for allies. Her Traces further increase the Break Effect and energy regeneration. Ruan Mei’s basic attack deals Ice damage, and her Somatotypical Helix Talent boosts SPD for her allies while dealing additional damage after a Break.
Outside of combat, Ruan Mei is attracted to research of anomalies and other matters. She’s also interested in culinary delights, as good food is capable of bringing a response from people.
“As one with a sensitive palate, I only need one small bite to judge the taste of a pastry,” the trailer’s description reads. “I favor seasonal ingredients such as fresh fruits, flowers, and herbs. Pristine slices of life preserved inside a pastry — these provide the best dopamine response food has to offer.”

The future looks bright for Honkai: Star Rail, and players can expect several updates in 2024. Moreover, potential collaborations between Honkai: Star Rail and Falcom could be on the horizon. Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo is “ready” to collaborate with HoYoverse, so Trails characters may end up in the game someday.
