Bandai Namco released a new Tekken 8 gameplay trailer featuring Sergei Dragunov, a returning character from Tekken 7. In Tekken 8, Dragunov fights with the alias of “The White Angel of Death.”
All 32 characters for Tekken 8’s launch rosters have been revealed following the recent Reina character reveal. Harada is considering crossover characters for Tekken 8, but these will be considered after the game’s launch. For now, players may look forward to returning favorites from past Tekken entries, including Yoshimitsu and Dragunov.
Sergei Dragunov Returns in Tekken 8
Hailing from Russia, Dragunov is a user of the Commando Sambo fighting style, and he’s quite proficient as “The White Angel of Death.” After returning home from the previous King of the Iron Fist Tournament, Dragunov decides to check things off his “The Angel of Death’s List.” Despite the ominous name, this is just a bucket list of things that Dragunov wants to do in his extended free time. He chooses a particular goal that brings him to the King of the Iron Fist Tournament 8.

Tekken 8 physical and digital pre-orders are now available, and players can score new Paul Phoenix avatar costumes as an added pre-order bonus. Additionally, PlayStation 5 players earn exclusive Mokujin and Tetsujin avatar costumes with their pre-order. The Deluxe Edition includes all standard items, the Kinjin Avatar skin, and the Playable Character Year 1 Pass. This pass includes four characters released after the game’s launch. Moreover, the Deluxe Edition includes a Gold Suit Pack of playable character costumes for all 32 characters.
Lastly, Tekken 8 launches January 26, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
