CD Projekt Red has teased update 2.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 in a recent livestream on their Twitch account. The patch will drop on December 5 alongside the full patch notes. It will be available with the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition.
CDPR initially released Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020. Critics initially criticized it for its rushed release, game-breaking glitches, and failure to stay true to the game’s initial promise. However, CD Projekt Red recently released both Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0. The recent expansion and patch have completely overhauled the game’s mechanics and brought it closer to the game’s initial promise.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 Details Teased
In a recent livestream, CD Projekt Red revealed a few details about the upcoming Update 2.1 of Cyberpunk 2077. In the stream, they teased a few features that would be available in the patch. This includes a full fledged Metro System, complete with an interactive train for players to ride on. Additionally, the patch will include a portable radio, improved boss fights, replayable car races, new vehicles (including five new motorcycles), new motorcycle mechanics, a new highway, and new accessibility options.
CDPR briefly teased that more features will be available alongside the new update, including the ability to “hang out with your partner.” The full patch notes will likely drop alongside the update on December 5.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion are available exclusively on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The upcoming Ultimate Edition, which is bundled with Phantom Liberty, will release on December 5 for all aforementioned next generation consoles.
