SEGA have announced Virtua Fighter 3tb Online, an updated version of Virtua Fighter 3tb for Japanese arcades. The arcade game will be coming to arcades with APM3 machines on November 28.
Virtua Fighter 3tb was developed by SEGA AM2 as a major update to Virtua Fighter 3 in the late 90s. The 3tb version released in September 1997 for SEGA Model 3 Step 1.0 Japanese arcades, and a SEGA Dreamcast port was released in November 1998. More than 20 decades after its initial release, Virtua Fighter 3tb returns to arcades in Japan.
Virtua Fighter 3tb Online Includes Updated Features
SEGA’s Virtua Fighter 3tb Online is a re-release with updated features used in VF eSports. In Japan, players may enjoy online matches with opponents from other arcades. While matchmaking, both players may enjoy a bout against the CPU before the match is ready. Moreover, rematch options are also available after the match ends, so the same pair of players may continue to practice and face off if desired.
Local play is also supported in Virtua Fighter 3tb Online for those at the same arcade machine. players may save battle results from Team Battle and Normal Battle. There will also be a Room ID-like feature where players may compete together if they use the same password. Those wanting to play a classic Virtua Fighter title may do so through Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack right now. Nintendo’s subscription service offers Virtua Fighter 2 as a playable title in the SEGA Genesis – Nintendo Switch Online app for Expansion Pack members.
Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, the latest entry in the series, is available right now for PlayStation 4. The game is backwards compatible on PlayStation 5, and Tekken 7 collaboration DLC is also available now.
