Valve has released a new 25th anniversary update for the original Half-Life. The update includes several new maps, adjustments, and more. The original game is also available for free on Steam until November 20.
The original Half-Life is one of the most iconic games in the entire history of the medium. Valve initially launched the first-person shooter in 1998. The title spawned several spinoffs, sequels, and other games inspired by the original release. Recently, Valve announced that they are working with Nvidia on a remix of Half-Life 2 that utilizes RTX. More information on Half Life 2 RTX Remix will be revealed in the coming months.
Half-Life 25th Anniversary Update Details
On November 17, Valve released an official website detailing new updates that are available now in the original Half-Life as part of the game’s 25th anniversary. The update includes the following:
- Half-Life Uplink, a new mini campaign that was originally exclusive in old magazines and hardware manufacturers. It is available now for free alongside the original Half-Life.
