Good Shephard Entertainment has announced that Hellboy: Web of Wyrd has been delayed to October 18. The game will now release two weeks after its initial projected date.
Hellboy: Web of Wyrd is an upcoming roguelike action RPG brawler. The titular character, Hellboy, is voiced by Lance Reddick. This game was his last performance before he passed. The official Steam page has more information on the upcoming title.
Hellboy: Web of Wyrd Delayed by Two Weeks
Hellboy: Web of Wyrd was initially set to release on October 4. Now, it will be available two weeks later, on October 18. The Hellboy franchise has lasted for thirty years now. Dark Horse Comics released the first Hellboy comic in 1993. Mike Mignola, a famous author and writer, helped to bring the character to life.
The premise behind the comic is simple: humanity found a demon during the Second World War. He was fated to destroy the world until humankind chose to raise him to be a force for good.
Every piece of Web of Wyrd game is designed to be faithful to the original comic run. For one, the art style is identical to the one drawn by Mike Mignola himself in the Dark Horse comics. Further, Mignola and Dark Horse Publishing have collaborated with the game’s developers to create a story and style faithful to the Hellboy comics.
The official Steam page describes the game’s combat and how it will allow you to “go toe-to-toe (or hoof-to-hoof) with a menagerie of nightmarish creatures and homunculi as you explore the realms within the Wyrd. Combat has been engineered to create challenging encounters that encourage you to learn patterns, dodge, parry, and – of course – punch your enemies into oblivion.”
Lastly, Hellboy: Web of Wyrd will release on October 18, 2023. It will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
