During LEVEL-5’s Tokyo Game Show 2023 stage event, the new Artist class was announced for upcoming “slow life” RPG FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time. The developers also revealed several new details about gameplay and features.
In FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, players drift onto a mysterious island where a civilization once thrived. A new adventure full of crafting, questing, and combat awaits on the island, and LEVEL-5 revealed more details about what fans can expect in the game.
Become an Artist in FANTASY LIFE i
FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time players may become an Artist in order to paint pictures and display finished art pieces at home. Other “Create” classes include Alchemist, Tailor, Cook, Carpenter, and Blacksmith. Gameplay from the stage show also showed cooking, combat, fishing, and housing. While cooking, players must follow the actions that appear on the screen to create a proper meal. Cooking is complete once the on-screen gauge is filled.
LEVEL-5 also revealed a new evasive action will be available in the full release. Evading may be triggered with the B button. While fishing, players must pull and reel their catch carefully without breaking the line. Moreover, the in-game housing system lets players build their home and arrange the interior. Artists may display their own work, and those who don’t use the class may display artwork created by other artists. FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time players may also customize the town with the Town Planning feature.
DECAPOLICE, FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, Megaton Musashi: Wired, and Professor Layton and The New World of Steam are the featured LEVEL-5 titles for Tokyo Game Show 2023. However, only DECAPOLICE, FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, and Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road are actually playable on at LEVEL-5’s official booth.
Lastly, FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time launches in 2023 for Nintendo Switch.
