Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + Booster Course Pass Bundle Launching in Japan

    Published:

At the Japanese Nintendo Direct this morning, Nintendo revealed a new physical edition for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that includes the Booster Course Pass DLC. This Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle is exclusive to Japan for now, as this was not announced at the North American Nintendo Direct. This physical edition will be available on October 6, 2023.

As of now, you can buy the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game physically or digitally, but the DLC is only able to be purchased digitally. It is unclear if there is a code inside the box or if the DLC is included on the cartridge. Additionally, it has not been confirmed if this edition of the game will make its way over to the West.

Alongside this news, a sneak peek at Wave 6 of the Booster Course Pass DLC was shared today. New characters include Funky Kong, Diddy Kong, Peachette, and Pauline. The only track showcased today was Daisy Circuit. Check out the new trailer below:
