    Pluto Anime Reveals Seven New Cast Members

    Premiering this October.

    Netflix has revealed seven new cast members that will be a part of the upcoming anime series Pluto. The season will premiere on the service on October 26, 2023.

    Pluto is a manga written and illustrated by the famed mangaka Naoki Urosawa. The series is an adaptation of Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy and was in production from 2003 to 2009. The full manga is available for reading on Viz Media. The anime will be the first visual adaptation of the series.

    In a tweet, Netflix revealed several new members of Pluto’s cast. These include:

    • Hideyuki Tanaka as Brau-1589
    • Romi Park as Helena
    • Toshio Furukawa as Professor Ochanomizu 
    • Eizou Tsuda as Dr. Tenma
    • Kazuhiro Yamaji as Professor Abullah 
    • Michio Hazama as Duncan
    • And Kenyuu Horiuchi as President Alexander 

    The series will premiere on October 26, 2023, exclusively on Netflix. The season will feature eight 60-minute-long episodes. At the time of writing, the staff has not yet confirmed if an English dub will release. The description of the series is as follows:

    A murder occurs in an orderly world where robots are unable to kill humans. The robotic Europol investigator Gesicht takes the case, but the mystery deepens when he finds no trace of a human at the scene of the crime. As he pursues the truth, Gesicht uncovers the most evil manifestation of hate that history ever seen, one that is bent on bringing destruction to the world …”

    With an all-star cast of voice talent and staff, as well as adapting one of the most beloved manga of the last twenty years, Pluto will likely be one of the most exciting anime released this year. In the coming weeks and months leading up to its premiere, Netflix will likely reveal more information about the upcoming series’ cast members and dubbing. Lastly, Pluto will air on Netflix on October 26, 2023.
