Cygames announced that Project GAMM, the new fantasy action game by Senran Kagura creator Kenichiro Takaki, is now officially titled Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary. This is the first major update for the game in nearly two years, and more details have been revealed.
After working on the Senran Kagura series for several years, Kenichiro Takaki decided to leave Marvelous in 2019 in order to pursue a new challenge at Cygames. Working on a new fantasy game is one of Takaki’s earliest goals in the industry, and Project GAMM appears to fulfill that goal.
GAMM Stands for Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary
Project GAMM is now titled Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary, and a special video for the game was shown at Cygames Exhibition: Artworks. The event is a new Cygames artworks exhibition that runs from September 2 to October 3 at Ueno Royal Museum in Tokyo. Attendees may view screenshots and artwork of the upcoming title at the event, but fans at home may also view them in a new Cygames blog post.
Once more, Kenichiro Takaki is leading the project as director and producer. MOGUMO is the character designer, and Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War composer Shiro Sagisu will handle the game’s score. The new title will support English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean language options. Platforms and a release date have not been announced, however.

Visitors to Cygames Exhibition: Artworks, which began on Saturday, September 2 at the Ueno Royal Museum, will be able to view concept artwork and the latest video footage for the title.
