    Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 – The Separation is approaching its climax soon, and the new 21.5 “Interlude” episode will act as the calm before the storm that will be the one-hour finale. Episode 22 will not be releasing this weekend, but there’s a good reason as to why the anime is taking a short break. 

    In Part 2 of the ongoing Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War anime, all-out war ensues between the Soul Society and the Quincies in the Seireitei. Ichigo prepares himself in the Soul King Palace for tough battles that will determine his ultimate fate in Bleach’s final story arc. The second 13-episode cour brings the total episode count of Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War to 26, and more episodes will surely come in due time.

    Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 Episode 21.5 / Interlude Episode Explained and Release Date

    Previously, Shueisha and Studio Pierrot announced Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 will end with a one-hour special on September 30. This particular special will include Episodes 25 and 26 with ads, and Hulu will receive both episodes in one simultaneous release. Before then, Studio Pierrot is taking a short break from its weekly schedule to prepare for the final batch of new episodes.

    Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 21.5 titled “Interlude – The Blood Warfare, Separation” will premiere on Saturday, September 2 at 11:00 p.m. JST across Japanese broadcasting networks. This compliation episode will recap the events of Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 thus far. One week later, the anime series will return with Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 22 will premiere on September 9 at 8:30 p.m. JST.

    Finally, the upcoming one-hour finale will air on September 30 at 23:00 JST across Japanese TV networks (ads included), Hulu, and Disney Plus in select territories. Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War is now streaming on Hulu and Disney Plus in select regions. Bleach fans may also look forward to Bleach: Soul Resonance, a new action game launching in 2024 for Android and iOS.
