CFK and Frontier Aja announced that Touhou Project side-scrolling 2D action game Koumajou Remilia II: Stranger’s Requiem launches on December 14. The game will be available for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, and a physical release was confirmed.
Koumajou Remilia II: Stranger’s Requiem is a direct sequel to Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony. The sequel includes substantial upgrades to graphics ane gameplay, an original story with a new protagonist, and more Touhou Project characters. Chief Maid Sakuya Izayoi will set out on a new adventure this December.
Koumajou Remilia II: Stranger’s Requiem Physical Edition Release
Koumajou Remilia II: Stranger’s Requiem will release on December 14 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam digitally, and a physical edition will be sold in Japan. Specifically, physical standard and limited editions will be available for Switch for 4,400 yen and 7,700 yen respectively. Limited edition contents include a special box featuring a new illustration by Banpai Akira, 36-page art book, two-disc original soundtrack (36 tracks), and an acrylic plate.

Story
“No way! Back then, I’m sure the Scarlet Devil Castle was……”
After the incident surrounding the Scarlet Mist covering Gensokyo,
Sakuya Izayoi, chief maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, notices something else amiss.
The people she called family back at the mansion have gone missing and
an unwelcome guest mentions that “Spring still hasn’t come.”
Sakuya immediately sets out toward the site of the obliterated Scarlet Devil Castle
in search of why that may be, only to find a sight she can’t believe,
the castle standing there once more……

New enemies, including Ran Yakumo and Youmu Konpaku, appear at her side, trying to stop Sakuya from tracking down Yukari. Apart from them, Reimu Hakurei and other friends from the Scarlet Devil Mansion have somehow made their way inside. What secrets lie hidden behind this mysterious phenomenon?
- A bigger lineup of partners, and more subweapons to choose from – Sakuya’s weapons and abilities build on the action of the previous entry into the series, giving more variety to the intense battles players must take on. Enlist the help of characters from the previous game by using them as partners! Use your subweapons alongside your partners’ abilities to deal with all the different situations you’ll find yourself in.
