During AMD’s Gamescom 2023 keynote, the company announced the all-new AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT GPUs. These new graphics cards are part of the company’s mid-range offerings with a key focus on high-end 1440p gaming.
This past December AMD’s current generation of GPUs began with the release of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT. The RDNA3-powered GPUs bring incredible performance at 4K and 1440p, and PC gamers will soon be able to experience such performance at a lower cost.
AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT GPUs
The Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT GPUs offer high refresh rate gaming experiences in the $449 to $499 price range. Both GPUs will launch on September 6 from AMD and board partners such as ASRock, ASUS, Biostar, Gigabyte, PowerColor, Sapphire, Vastarmor, XFX and Yeston. Price may greatly vary from these board partners, however. Radeon RX 7800 XT includes 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory, while the 7700 XT offers slightly less at 12 GB.
AMD boasts that both GPUs offer 20% higher performance-per-dollar compared to its competitors, the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti. Customers should wait for performance benchmarks from reviewers, however. The GPUs will support all of AMD’s latest features including AMD FSR, Radiance Display Engine, AI Acceleration, and much more. The graphics cards will also support AMD FSR 3, which includes frame generation technology.
