Aksys Games announced Experience-developed horror adventure game Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II has been delayed to February 2024 in the west. The title was originally slated to release in 2023 following its Japanese release in 2022.
Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II is the third entry in the critically acclaimed Spirit Hunter series by Experience, who also developed dungeon crawling RPG Mon-Yu: Defeat Monsters And Gain Strong Weapons And Armor. You May Be Defeated, But Don’t Give Up. Become Stronger. I Believe There Will Be A Day When The Heroes Defeat The Devil King. Aksys Games will release both titles soon, but the wait for Spirit Hunter must continue for a little while longer.
Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II Delayed
A reason for Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II being delayed was not given, but we assume its due to the need for further quality improvements. Additionally, pre-orders for the upcoming title are now live in the Aksys Game Store for $59.99. Pre-orders include original soundtrack CD of 14 tracks while supplies last.

Here’s an overview of the game, courtesy of Aksys Games:
In Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II, Kazuo Yashiki is back in H City to investigate supernatural occurrences at Konoehara Academy. As in previous games in the series, the developers have drawn on Japanese myths and folklore to create an immersive and nuanced tale of terror. Some old faces return to aid Yashiki in his quest, and a 2D side-scrolling mode offers a new way to explore locations.
Be ready, for when a spirit does attack, crucial mistakes mean certain death. Solve the mysterious deaths with help from many of the original characters from the first game – Spirit Hunter: Death Mark.
Finally, Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II launches in February 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in the west.
