    Fire Emblem Engage Manga Vol. 1 Releases September 4

    The monthly manga series gets a physical release.

    Nintendo and Intelligent Systems announced Vol. 1 of the official Fire Emblem Engage manga will be released on September 4 in Japan. Japanese readers will have a number of options for checking out the manga’s first volume of chapters.

    The Fire Emblem Engage manga by Himedol!! mangaka Kazurou Kyou depicts the story of protagonist Alear, who is male in the manga. Chapter 1 of the manga released this past March to cover Alear’s awakening and arrival at Somniel. Somniel serves as his base of operations in the Nintendo Switch game. Fire Emblem Engage manga chapter 2 introduces Alfred, the first prince of Firene and brother of princess Céline. Readers may note some differences between the events of the game and manga while reading the first volume.

    Fire Emblem Engage Manga Vol. 1

    Vol. 1 of the Fire Emblem Engage manga will release on September 4. Pre-orders for the new volume are available now at participating Japanese bookstores and digital eBook websites. A release has not been announced outside of Japan, however.

    Currently, the manga is in serialization as a monthly series via Saikyo Jump and the Shonen Jump+ online manga service. Six chapters have been released since March 2023. All chapters appear to be free on Shonen Jump+. Unfortunately, the chapters are not available in English officially. 

    Fire Emblem Engage’s final DLC, Expansion Pass Wave 4, released this past April with a new story scenario titled “Fell Xenologue.” In the Fell Xenologue, Alear and his allies will lend their aid to an alternate world on the verge of ruin after the Divine Dragon was defeated. Alear’s army of heroes must reclaim seven bracelets and face very familiar people from their original world as enemies.

    Lastly, Fire Emblem Engage is available now for Nintendo Switch.
