The One Piece franchise’s Gear 5 is one of the most hyped up transformations in anime. Although many fans want the form to last as long as possible, One Piece Episode 1076 will draw the curtain on the Luffy vs Kaido fight.
Over the past episodes, Gear 5 has been dominating the internet with each episode’s release and is expected to do so in the coming episodes. Multiple websites are rumored to have crashed whenever the episode airs. It’s safe to say that this is the most anticipated series of episodes since Dragon Ball Super’s Goku Ultra Instinct transformation during the Tournament of Power arc.
Luffy has lost multiple times to Kaido no matter what new technique he learned or whoever he was fighting together with. However with the awakening of the Gum Gum Fruit and emergence of Gear 5, it’s finally a fair fight and one Luffy has a shot at winning.
To make matters better, Toei Animation has not introduced unique animation but also brought in some of the best animators in the industry to work on these episodes such as Naotoshi Shida, Vincent Charsard and Weiling Zhang. They have put a lot of money into this and with the feedback from fans, it’s sure to be a success.
