    NetherRealm Studios has officially revealed that the August Kombat Kast for Mortal Kombat 1 will start tomorrow. The mini-panel comes a week after EVO 2023, the major fighting game tournament that announced that Havik, Ashrah, and Reptile will be on the game’s roster. The upcoming Kombat Kast will reveal more information about specific characters in the game’s roster. Here’s everything you need to know about the August 11 Kombat Kast for Mortal Kombat 1.

    What is the Kombat Kast?

    The Kombat Kast is a live stream by NetherRealm Studios that reveals more information about changes and updates to the Mortal Kombat franchise. This has been done for quite some time now. Mortal Kombat 11 especially got plenty of different Kombat Kasts.

    Expect an overview of some of the characters confirmed to be on the roster and maybe a few surprises here and there.

    When and Where to Watch the August Kombat Kast

    The Kombat Kast will begin on August 11. The times to watch the event are as follows:

    • 10 AM PDT
    • 12 PM CDT
    • and 1 PM EDT

    While it’s unknown how long the event will last, based on prior Kombat Kasts, it will likely be between half an hour and an hour. Fans can watch the event on NetherRealm Studios’ official Twitch and Youtube accounts. If you miss the event, don’t worry: highlights and an archive will be published on NetherRealm’s Youtube account after the Kombat Kast finishes.

    What Will Be Shown at the Kombat Kast

    NetherRealm Studios has revealed that the August 11 Kombat Kast will focus on Smoke, Geras, and Ashrah. Smoke was first announced in July alongside Rain and a few more Kameos(a new mechanic exclusive to Mortal Kombat 1 that allows players to summon characters to assist them in battle.) NetherRealm Studios revealed Geras later in July. They first introduced the character in Mortal Kombat 11. Lastly, Ashrah was revealed at EVO 2023 alongside Havik and Reptile. She will be one of many characters returning from the PlayStation 2 era of Mortal Kombat. Expect a complete overview of each character’s moves, strengths, and weaknesses.

    Lastly, Mortal Kombat 1 will release on September 19, 2023. It will be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for more information on the game’s roster and mechanics in the coming weeks.
