SEGA released its financials release Q&A for the first quarter of fiscal year ending in March 2024, revealing that the company has high hopes for the releases of Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload. Although Persona 3 Reload does not have an exact release date, the game is expected to release before the end of March next year.
This past week, SEGA reported that 630,000 copies of Persona titles were sold within the first quarter, which spans from April to June 2023. This is an incredible increase compared to the prior year’s first quarter, and SEGA expects the franchise to be a major seller going forward.
SEGA’s “High Hopes” for Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload
In the Q&A, SEGA says the company has “high hopes” for Sonic Superstars, Persona, and Yakuza / Like a Dragon series titles in the near future. SEGA would also like the company’s “top seven titles” are expected to sell around one million units. Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica were not explicitly named in the Q&A excerpt, but SEGA considers these titles to be major releases without a doubt.

Q: Do you expect to be able to achieve the plan of 13 million sales from July onwards? Are there any further unannounced titles.
A: The majority of titles for this fiscal year were announced in May and June. Please look forward to the release and results from these titles.
Q: Which are the top titles you have planned for the future? Which do you expect to have the largest sales volume?
A: We have high hopes for Sonic Superstars and both the Persona and Yakuza series as the major releases for this period.
The top seven titles are expected to sell around 1 million units. We would like Sonic Superstars to sell around the same as Sonic Frontiers.
Lastly, Persona 5 Tactica launches on November 17 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows and Steam. Persona 3 Reload launches in early 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows and Steam.
