Square Enix announced the Moonfire Faire event returns to Final Fantasy XIV on August 10. The event will allow fans to earn and don some tokusatsu-inspired gear for their Warriors of Light in Final Fantasy XIV.
Recently, Square Enix revealed the Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion and upcoming content for Patch 6.5: Growing Light. Patch 6.5 will bring new story and side content this October, and Dawntrail marks the beginning of a journey in the New World in summer 2024. Before then, players may earn some nice looking gear in the Moonfire Faire event.
Final Fantasy XIV Moonfire Faire Event Returns
Square Enix updated its Lodestone website for Final Fantasy XIV for the returning Moonfire Faire event. Starting August 10 at 1:00 a.m. PDT, players level 30 and up may accept the “Allergic to Sunshine” quest from Mayaru Moyaru in Limsa Lominsa, Upper Decks. By progressing the quest, players may eventually earn the Kamen Rider-style Phoenix Riser Helmet and Suit. Additionally, certain items from prior iterations of the Moonfire Faire event can be purchased via Moonfire Faire vendors. Players have until August 26 at 7:59 a.m. PDT to complete the Moonfire Faire quest and redeem the event’s rewards, however.

During the patch 6.5x series, Final Fantasy XIV fans and newcomers may try out a beta for the new Xbox Series X|S version. The game’s release is planned for spring 2024 on Xbox Series X|S, and the new Dawntrail expansion will release day-and-date on Xbox Series X|S next summer. Square Enix ensures full parity between all versions of Final Fantasy XIV between PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Further, the free trial is being updated to include the award-winning Stormblood expansion.
Lastly, Final Fantasy XIV and the latest expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, are available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail launches in summer 2024.
