    Mega Man Franchise Sales Top 40 Million Units

    Battle Network fans fuel millions in sales.

    Capcom announced the Mega Man franchise sales top 40 million units according to the company’s fiscal year 2023 first quarter financial results. The company also shared an update on Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection sales.

    This past April, Capcom confirmed Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection reached one million copies sold. The collection managed to reach this sales milestone in roughly two weeks’ time, and its sales momentum continues near the end of July 2023. Capcom’s latest financial results for Q1 2023 reveal that Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection reached 1.32 million units sold as one of the top selling titles in the franchise. Specifically, 320,000 copies were sold between April 27 and June 29.

    Mega Man Hits 40 Million in Sales

    Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection sales have pushed total franchise sales to 40 million units. Currently, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection is the 5th best selling game in the franchise following Mega Man 11 at 1.70 million, Mega Man 2 at 1.51 million, Mega Man Legacy Collection at 1.40 million, and Mega Man Battle Network 4 at 1.35 million. The latest collection is on track to become the best selling Mega Man title at its current pace. 

    Fans may celebrate the sales milestone by purchasing the original Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection soundtrack for $14.99 on Steam and Apple Music. The original soundtrack features 22 diverse tracks including new arrangements of classic tunes originally composed by Akari Kaida, Yoshino Aoki, and Toshihiko Horiyama.

    Moreover, the Mega Man NT Warrior anime is now available to watch on YouTube until September 20. Mega Man fans may head over to Capcom USA’s official YouTube channel and visit the playlist section to watch Mega Man NT Warrior and Mega Man NT Warrior AXESS for free. After September 20, the playlist will be made private and inaccessible.

    Lastly, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
