Rubicon is a desolate planet, nearly devoid of color, filled to the brim with vile machines designed for one purpose: destruction. You play as a Hound, part of a team of mechs built for combat. However, your mech, 621, is the last survivor of a grueling battle. The trailer ends with your handler, Walter, declaring that he would give 621 “a reason to exist.”
From Software has always been known for its riveting and exciting narratives. Whether through the Dark Souls franchise, Bloodborne, or the recent Elden Ring, their games have always delivered the pinnacle of storytelling in video games. Armored Core VI appears to be no exception, providing a dark and nuanced tone that From Software has always been known for.
