Capcom has officially released a character trailer highlighting Rashid’s moveset before his release in Street Fighter 6. Rashid will release on July 24 and be the first DLC character added to the game.
Street Fighter 6 was first released on June 2, 2023. A month after its release, the game has already sold two million copies. Expect to see more DLC content added to Street Fighter 6 over the next few years.
The Soaring Eagle’s Capabilities in Street Fighter 6
Before his release in Street Fighter 6, the latest Rashid trailer highlights his move-set and combo potential. The footage showcases his “Spinning Mixer” attack, which is a good combo-ender and anti-air attack. The “Eagle Spike” is another great move to add damage at the end of a combo. Several of Rashid’s movements are based on keeping opponents at a distance and dealing out quick attacks if they close the gap.
Rashid’s attacks seem to be an exciting deviation from the current Street Fighter 6 meta. Characters like Marisa and Zangief focus on high-damage attacks and slow movement. On the other hand, someone like Kimberly uses paint cans as bombs to keep opponents on their toes. The new character trailer for Rashid shows off how he will be a great fit for players who want to move fast, hit fast, and look good while doing it. Rashid will be the first of many DLC characters in Street Fighter 6. Capcom has already confirmed that A.K.I, Ed, and Akuma will be added from the Autumn to Early 2024. Fans should expect to see more characters added to the game throughout the next few years as Street Fighter 6 only grows in popularity.
Street Fighter 6 is available now on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Rashid will be available for purchase on July 24.
