Riviera: The Promised Land Remaster Announced

Blaze Union: Story to Reach the Future Remaster developer Sting announced Riviera: The Promised Land Remaster, a definitive version of its 2002 WonderSwan Color RPG. Riviera: The Promised Land is the first entry in Sting’s Dept. Heaven series.

More than 15 years after its final release, Riviera: The Promised Land will be re-released in a new remaster. The remaster includes a number of major improvements, but Sting has yet to reveal any specific details about the upcoming release. Currently, platforms and a release date for the remaster have not been announced. 

Riviera: The Promised Land launched on July 12, 2002 in Japan for the WonderSwan Color, and today marks the game’s 21st anniversary. Moreover, the original game would come to Game Boy Advance on November 25, 2004 in Japan and June 28, 2005 in North America. A PlayStation Portable version would release on November 22, 2006 in Japan, July 10, 2007 in North America, and April 4, 2008 in Europe. ATLUS and 505 Games published the western releases.
