Capcom has officially confirmed that Rashid will be released for Street Fighter 6 on July 24, 2023. Rashid will be the first official DLC character for the latest entry in the long-running Street Fighter series.
The announcement comes just a few days after the reveal that a fighting pass will be released in preparation for the upcoming character. Fans can expect Rashid to be a fun and exciting new addition to the already varied meta of Street Fighter 6.
Everything You Need to Know About Rashid
Rashid retains many of the attacks he utilized in Street Fighter V. He employs a mix of wind/tornado attacks and aerial strikes that separate him from other fighters. Further, his playstyle looks fast, frenetic, and fun based on first impressions. The trailer also highlights a bit of his main theme and his excitable and passionate personality. Moreover, players can expect to get their hands on the character starting July 24.
The announcement comes just a few weeks before the start of EVO 2023. The fighting game Mecca is usually where Capcom reveals more information about its content lineup. It seems strange that they would reveal Rashid before the event. However, Capcom’s reveal of Rashid alludes to the fact that more information will be revealed about some of the other DLC characters at EVO.
Lastly, Street Fighter 6 is available now. Players can purchase it on Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, and the Xbox Series X|S. The game has been very successful so far.
