Update – 6/27/2023 – ININ Games confirms Air Twister will be sold in the west physically and digitally. The Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 versions will be sold physically, and pre-orders will open on July 18. The English announcement trailer may be viewed here.
ININ Games and YS NET announced shoot ’em up Air Twister launches on November 10 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Air Twister was a former Apple Arcade exclusive, and the timed exclusivity period expired after roughly a year since the game’s initial launch.
ININ Games will sell physical copies of Air Twister for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in Japan. PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S versions of Air Twister will be digital only. Pre-orders will open on July 4 in Japan, and a western physical release has not been announced yet. However, ININ Games will likely release physical versions through Strictly Limited Games.
Air Twister first launched on June 24, 2022 as an Apple Arcade exclusive, and a recent rating in Germany suggested a PlayStation 5 version is on the way. Yu Suzuki’s previous work was Shenmue 3, the long-awaited continuation of the Shenmue series. The legendary creator plans on eventually making Shenmue 4 with features that cater to new players. However, this was not official confirmation of a new Shenmue title in development.
