Nintendo and developer Poncle have just confirmed that Vampire Survivors is releasing on August 17 on the Nintendo Switch. Initially released in October 2022, Vampire Survivors was a rogue-lite that quickly became a fan favorite. The upcoming port will take full advantage of the Switch’s hardware.
Vampire Survivors – Bullet Hell
Vampire Survivors is a fast and frenetic rogue-lite. The goal is to survive thirty-minute waves and collect as many upgrades as possible while constantly staying mobile and collecting treasure. Vampire Survivors was first released on October 20th, 2022. This new version will remain faithful to the minimalistic gameplay of the original while also adapting it for a portable console.
One of the new features of the port is a four-player couch co-op. This update will be released to all other consoles and versions of Vampire Survivor at no extra cost. Currently, it is unknown how much the Switch version will be, but if the Steam page is anything to go by, it will be priced at around $4.99.

“Hell is empty, the devils are here, and there’s no place to run or hide. All you can do is survive as long as you can until death inevitably puts an end to your struggles. Gather gold in each run to buy upgrades and help the next survivor. ”
Starting tips from the Steam page:
- Take your time to grab gems and items; they won’t disappear.
- Get two or three offensive weapons at first, but focus on leveling them up one at a time.
- Armour and Luck are good starting power-ups to spend money on.
- Refund power-ups often; it’s free, and try new upgrade paths.
Release Information
Vampire Survivors will release on the Switch on August 17, 2023. The game is currently available for wishlist on the Nintendo eShop, and it’s available for purchase on Xbox, iOS, Android, and PC.
