Forza Motorsport Gets a Release Date and New Trailer

Racing to Xbox and PC this fall.

At today’s Xbox Games Showcase, it was revealed that Forza Motorsport will launch on October 10, 2023. Alongside this release date reveal, a new trailer was shown. This trailer focuses on the game’s cover cars, the Cadillac V-Series.R and the Corvette E-Ray. However, it also gives players a peek at the game’s career mode.

Forza Motorsport was fully revealed at last year’s Xbox Games Showcase, but there was no word on a specific release date at the time. However, it has been known that the game would release sometime this year as a Series X|S console exclusive. Forza Motorsport will not launch on Xbox One as it is only made possible by current-gen hardware.

Despite having no number in its title, Forza Motorsport is actually the eighth game in the mainline series. This is the first main game in the series since 2017’s Forza Motorsport 7. The game will include over 500 cars at launch and 20 rebuilt tracks from around the world. Players who pre-order the Premium Edition will be able to gain access to the game 5 days early.

    Forza Motorsport Release Date Trailer

The trailer gives Forza fans a glimpse of what they can expect from the game’s career mode. Primarily focusing on the Corvette E-Ray, players get to see some upgrading and tuning options to optimize the vehicle for racing. For those hoping for a good sense of progression in the game’s career mode, this trailer seems to hint at it.

Forza Motorsport promises overhauled physics and a dynamic time-of-day system. Temperatures on the track are directly affected by this system, allowing for a more complex simulation. Considering that this game will release six years after the previous mainline game, it should be quite a technological leap.

Players will be able to either purchase Forza Motorsport on Xbox Series X|S and PC or play it via Xbox Game Pass. Game Pass subscribers don’t have to wait and will have access to the game on day one. Forza Motorsport is likely going to be the biggest racing game of the year, so racing fans should keep an eye out for more updates.
