Final Fantasy XVI Pre-Launch Celebration Schedule Revealed

Square Enix have revealed the official schedule for the Final Fantasy XVI Pre-Launch Celebration event, which will be held is Los Angeles, California. Fans around the world may tune into the Final Fantasy XVI Pre-Launch Celebration live stream on Square Enix’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, however.

The official Final Fantasy XVI Twitter account reveals the full schedule of the Pre-Launch Celebration event, which starts with a keynote at 4:00 p.m. PDT on June 11. During the keynote, Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida will discuss more details about the game to a live audience. This keynote will last roughly an hour long, and many more segments are listed on the schedule. 

Final Fantasy XVI Pre-Launch Celebration

At 5:15 p.m. PDT, an “Eikon Power Showcase” segment will commence featuring Final Fantasy XVI director Hiroshi Takai, combat director Ryota Suzuki, and content creator Maximillian Dood. This segment will likely go over Clive Rosfield, his Eikonic powers, and the various Eikons featured in Final Fantasy XVI. One hour later, the “Narrative of XVI” segment will dive into the game’s main story at 6:30 p.m. PDT. This Narrative of XVI segment is hosted by Alanah Pearce, battle system designer Kazutoyo Maehiro, and localization producer Michael-Christopher Koji Fox. 

The Final Fantasy XVI Pre-Launch Celebration event will close out with two segments: “Music of XVI” and Closing Messages. The Music of XVI segment will be hosted by musician Alex Moukala and Final Fantasy XVI composer Masayoshi Soken at 7:45 p.m. PDT. Lastly, Final Fantasy XVI’s development team will close out the event at 8:45 p.m. PDT in the Closing Message segment. 

A new Final Fantasy XVI demo featuring the game’s opening hours is expected to be revealed soon. Players will experience a flashback to Clive Rosfield’s teen years, which was detailed in the April State of Play. This new demo will be available in the PlayStation Store ahead of the full game’s launch. Moreover, save data from the Final Fantasy XVI demo transfers over to the full game as well. 

Final Fantasy XVI launches on June 22 for PlayStation 5 worldwide. Finally, PC version will enter production after the initial release of the game.
