    Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Includes New Music and Arrangements From FFVII Remake

    New and returning music tracks confirmed.

    Square Enix released the sixth developer comment for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, revealing more details about the game’s music. Fans can expect many new tracks in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth alongside some old classics. 

    In the sixth developer comment, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth music supervisor Keiji Kawamori confirms many new music tracks were created for the upcoming sequel. Additionally, some new arrangements of existing tracks from Final Fantasy VII Remake are being prepared. The original soundtrack to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth should be just as memorable as Final Fantasy VII Remake’s original soundtrack.

    Keiji Kawamori: Many new tracks have been created for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and we will be making some new arrangements of tracks from Final Fantasy VII Remake as well. 

    It’s worth noting that the Final Fantasy VII Twitter account’s banner was removed following the release of the sixth developer comment. Speculation continues to circulate surrounding a potential trailer at Summer Game Fest 2023 Live Showcase on Thursday, June 8. This day happens to line up with a seventh potential question. Square Enix didn’t confirm the game’s presence at the showcase, but the company is one of the several partners participating in Summer Game Fest 2023.

    Geoff Keighley will host the Summer Game Fest 2023 Live Showcase on June 8 at 3 p.m. EDT from the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California. The upcoming showcase will feature new game announcements, gameplay footage, trailers, and updates on existing games. Over 40 partners are participating in Summer Game Fest 2023 including Bandai Namco, Capcom, Disney, HoYoverse, PlayStation, and Square Enix. 

    Lastly, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches in winter for PlayStation 5 worldwide. Final Fantasy XVI launches first on June 22 for PlayStation 5.
