    Square Enix released another developer comment for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth with more insight about party members. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth battle director Teruki Endo states that players will meet “new comrades” that will join the heroes in combat.

    The official Final Fantasy VII Twitter account shared the fifth of seven developer comments featuring a single Q&A about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. In this case, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth battle director Teruki Endo elaborates about possible changes to the battle system of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Endo reveals that new comrades will join the player in battle in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Additionally, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth players may cooperate with other party members in closer ways when compared to Final Fantasy VII Remake.

    Teruki Endo: In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, new comrades will join you in battle and you can cooperate with other party members in even closer ways than before. 

    Current speculation is pointing toward a Final Fantasy VII Rebirth trailer being shown at Summer Game Fest 2023 Live Showcase on Thursday, June 8. A seventh question would arrive on the same day as Summer Game Fest 2023 Live Showcase if the daily Q&A series continues. Square Enix didn’t confirm the game’s presence at the showcase, but the company is one of the several partners participating in Summer Game Fest 2023.

    Geoff Keighley will host the Summer Game Fest 2023 Live Showcase on June 8 at 3 p.m. EDT from the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California. The upcoming showcase will feature new game announcements, gameplay footage, trailers, and updates on existing games. Over 40 partners are participating in Summer Game Fest 2023 including Bandai Namco, Capcom, Disney, HoYoverse, PlayStation, and Square Enix.
