    RGG Studio Anime Expo 2023 Panel Announced

    Featuring special guests from SEGA and RGG Studio.

    SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced the RGG Studio Anime Expo 2023 panel is set for Sunday, July 2, at 5:30 p.m. PDT / 8:30 p.m. EDT. The panel will be held in Petree Hall at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Special guests will be present at the panel to discuss the franchise and upcoming games. 

    The RGG Studio panel at Anime Expo 2023 will be roughly an hour long as special panelists discuss the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series. Topics include the franchise’s evolution over the years and upcoming games with “surprises” for Anime Expo 2023 attendees. These special guests include SEGA and RGG Studio producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto, Kazuma Kiryu voice actor Takaya Kuroda, and voice actor and YouTuber Yong Yea. More guests will be announced soon according to RGG Studio’s official Twitter account.

    Anime Expo 2023’s official description for the RGG Studio panel reads, “Join the first-ever RGG Studio panel at Anime Expo for an hour-long chat about the creation of one of Japan’s greatest game series, its evolution through the years, and upcoming games, with surprises for attendees! Panelists include Hiroyuki Sakamoto (SEGA/RGG Studio producer for the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series), Takaya Kuroda (legendary voice actor and Yakuza/Like a Dragon’s main protagonist Kazuma Kiryu), Yong Yea (voice actor and popular video game Youtuber), and more!”

    Before the panel arrives, SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will reveal the latest information about the Yakuza / Like a Dragon franchise at RGG Summit Summer 2023 on June 16. RGG Summit Summer 2023 will be hosted on YouTube and Niconico in English and Japanese respectively. Additionally, updates on Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Like a Dragon 8 will likely be shared during the live broadcast.

    Lastly, Like a Dragon: Ishin! is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
