    Blue Protocol Pre-Download Now Available for PC in Japan

    Bandai Namco announced free-to-play online action RPG Blue Protocol is now available to pre-download in Japan. The company recommends Blue Protocol players to start their pre-download ahead of the June 14 launch. The game’s launch comes just two months after the end of the PC network test

    A new notice was published on the official website, announcing that the game client for Blue Protocol is now available to pre-download in Japan. The existing Bandai Namco Launcher must be installed to play Blue Protocol, and a step-by-step guide was published to help players complete this process. In addition, pre-registration is still live for the Japanese PC version. By pre-registering, players may may earn special coloring dyes, materials, and other rewards on launch day.

    Moreover, Bandai Namco encourages players to uninstall the Blue Protocol network test, which ran from March 31 to April 2 exclusively Japan. The network test application may be deleted by opening the gear icon and selecting the delete button for the listed application. A Blue Protocol PC closed beta will be held for the western version, but official timing for this test was not announced. 

    The PC version of Blue Protocol will be playable in Japan only when servers open on June 14. Players in regions outside of Japan may run into some issues or face potential bans while attempting to play the Japanese version.     This past May, Bandai Namco and publisher Amazon Games confirmed the global release of Blue Protocol for consoles and PC was delayed to 2024. A reason was not given for the delay, but further adjustments and polishing may be a potential factor. 

    Lastly, Blue Protocol is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2024 worldwide. The PC version launches first in Japan on Wednesday, June 14.
