Hamster Corporation and ARIKA announced Tetris The Absolute The Grand Master 2 PLUS is coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The announcement comes just nearly six months after the release of Arcade Archives: Tetris The Grand Master.
2000’s Tetris The Absolute The Grand Master 2 PLUS is the sequel to the 1998’s Tetris The Grand Master arcade title. The sequel will be released as a new Arcade Archives title just like Arcade Archives: Tetris The Grand Master. A release date for the Arcade Archives version is set for June 1 on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Pricing has not been revealed, however.
“We are pleased to announce that we have licensed ‘Tetris The Absolute The Grand Master 2 PLUS‘ to Hamster Inc. for porting to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4,” ARIKA said via the official Tetris Grand Master series Twitter account.
Hamster Corporation is well known for developing the vast lineup of Arcade Archives titles. The Arcade Archives titles cover a wide range of consoles including NEOGEO, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and Japanese arcades. The company also developed shoot ’em up Sol Cresta alongside PlatinumGames.
Lastly, Arcade Archives: Tetris The Grand Master is available now for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
