During EVO Japan 2023, Arc System Works and Cygames revealed playable character Siegfried for Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising. Siegfried is voiced by Jordan Reynolds in English and Kazuhiko Inoue in Japanese.
Siegfried is a close-to-medium range fighter that keeps his enemy at bay with his sword’s long reach. In Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising, Siegfried may consume some of his own health to activate Manigance, which grants him a large attack power boost temporarily. The latest trailer from EVO Japan 2023 teases the appearance of Siegfried at the very end.
Open Beta Confirmed
Alongside the confirmation of playable character Siegfried, Arc System Works and Cygames confirmed a Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising online beta test will be held. The online beta test will be available to all players on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in May 2023. Further details about the online beta test will be revealed soon.
After the closed beta test concludes, players may look forward to a Granblue Fantasy: Versus Rising pre-release tournament at EVO 2023. EVO 2023 takes place from August 4 to 6 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fans can expect fighting game news and reveals at the annual spectacle.
