When Does Wave 4 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC Release?

    Reunion approaches.

During the February Nintendo Direct, Wave 4 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC was teased. This is a part of the Expansion Pass, acting as the brand-new story content that was promised when it was revealed.

Wave 3 of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass is releasing on February 15, 2023. This comes after the October 27 release date of Wave 2. Let’s dive into everything we know about the release date of Wave 4.

When Does Wave 4 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC Release?

As of now, there is no confirmed release date for the last part of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC. That does not mean we cannot make an educated guess, however.

First, let’s lay out each of the prior release dates for the Waves that have already released.

    Wave 1 – July 29, 2022

    Wave 2 – October 27, 2022

    Wave 3 – February 15, 2023

Judging off the prior release schedule, we can expect the next wave of DLC to release in the 3-4 months. This would put Wave 4 right around late May or June, which does seem feasible considering Nintendo’s existing release schedule.

As of now, Nintendo has dedicated the month of May to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This is rightfully so, as the gigantic title deserves to standalone when it launches on May 12, 2023. It wouldn’t make sense for Nintendo to slot this in during May if they are wanting to focus on the Tears of the Kingdom marketing push.

Fast forward to July, you’ll see that Nintendo has scheduled Pikmin 4 for the Summer month. This makes sense considering the type of game Pikmin 4 is, and it does seem that Nintendo will most likely keep this month free for the most part.

This leaves us June, which is a month that is currently empty for Nintendo. In our opinion, June makes the most sense for the launch of Wave 4 of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC. Specifically, a week before or after the launch of Final Fantasy XVI would slot in perfectly.

While we don’t currently have a title for the final wave of the DLC, we’d expect to learn that during the later Spring months. When more information drops regarding this, we’ll have it covered here at Final Weapon.
