New Pokémon Anime Series Premieres on April 14

The Pokémon Company announced the next new Pokémon anime series premieres on April 14, 2023 in Japan. Ash and Pikachu’s long adventure will soon reach its conclusion as new protagonists take center stage. 

Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series marks the end of Ash and Pikachu’s adventure after 25 consecutive seasons. Ash finally became a champion, and the iconic duo will venture to meet old friends again like Misty and Brock. New episodes will premiere on February 24 exclusively through Netflix as the season wraps up to give way for a new series. 

The new Pokémon anime series premieres on April 14 at 6:55 JST on TV Tokyo. Alongside the April 14 premiere date announcement, The Pokémon Company shared some new details about the upcoming anime series. Riko and Roy are the new protagonists of the Pokémon series going forward. Riko hails from the Paldea region, which is the setting for the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games for Nintendo Switch. She possesses a pendant that may be key to her adventure with Roy.
