Resident Evil 2 Remake Surpasses 11 Million Copies Sold, Capcom ‘Platinum Titles’ List Updated

Capcom updated its list of “Platinum Titles” with total sales figures as of December 31, 2022. Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil 3 remake, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, and many more titles are listed as Platinum Titles, which have all surpassed at least one million copies sold worldwide.

Notable titles as of December 31, 2022 are listed below (Thanks, Gematsu):

• Resident Evil 2 remake – 11.2 million units (1.1 million additional units since September 30, 2022)
• Resident Evil 3 remake has sold 6.4 million units (600,000 additional units since September 30, 2022)
• Resident Evil Village has sold 7.4 million units (600,000 additional units since September 30, 2022)
• Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (Nintendo Switch, PC) has sold 4.9 million units (500,000 million additional units since September 30, 2022)
• Monster Hunter Rise (Switch, PC) has sold 11.7 million units (500,000 additional units since September 30, 2022)
• Devil May Cry 5 (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 6.5 million units (400,000 additional units since September 30, 2022)
• Resident Evil 7 biohazard (PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 11.7 million units (400,000 additional units since September 30, 2022)
• Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 10 million units (300,000 additional units since September 30, 2022)
• Street Fighter V (PS4, PC) has sold seven million copies (200,000 additional units since September 30, 2022)
• Monster Hunter World (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 18.6 million units (100,000 additional units since September 30, 2022)
• Devil May Cry HD Collection (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 1.3 million units (100,000 additional units since September 30, 2022)

Capcom’s slate of upcoming titles include Resident Evil 4 remake and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (PlayStation and Xbox versions). Resident Evil 4 remake releases March 24, 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak launches this spring for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Street Fighter, Capcom’s flagship fighting game franchise, follows up this summer with a brand-new entry. Street Fighter 6 launches June 2 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
