Nintendo has announced that the Sephiroth and Kazyuya amiibo figures will release on January 13, 2023. The Sephiroth and Kazuya amiibo were briefly seen earlier this year, but they now have a confirmed release date.

Sephiroth was the third DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Fighter’s Pass 2, while Kazuya was the fifth DLC fighter in the same pack. Unlike the normal release schedule, Nintendo is skipping over the fourth character, Pyra & Mythra, who will be releasing sometime in 2023. Speaking of which, Pyra and Mythra are confirmed to release in 2023 with the announcement of Kazuya and Sephiroth’s release date.
Sephiroth is from Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII, while Kazuya is from the Tekken series. Sephiroth was revealed at 2020’s showing of The Game Awards, and Kazuya was revealed at E3 2021. The last fighter to not have a confirmed amiibo release date yet is none other than Sora, from the Kingdom Hearts series. Sora was the final character of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s DLC, where it was revealed that he won the character poll from the Smash 4 era. Sora will most likely be revealed once Pyra and Mythra get a release date.
Since the Sephiroth and Kazuya amiibo release so soon, pre-orders for these will most likely start soon. Stay tuned to Final Weapon for pre-order information as it releases!
