Nintendo and Next Level Games have released the third free update for Mario Strikers: Battle League on Nintendo Switch, version 1.3.0.
The update adds playable characters Bowser Jr. and Birdo. Additionally, Mario Strikers: Battle League players now have access to the Urban Rooftop stadium and Shellfish gear set. According to Nintendo, this will be the last major content update for Mario Strikers: Battle League.

Additional Content
- Added “Bowser Jr.” as a playable character.

Added Features
- Added “Quick Chat” feature to online gameplay. You can now select from four preset messages during each of the onscreen phases to communicate with all players in the match.
General
- Added a rule to “Match Settings” that limits ? Blocks that appear during a match to only Team-Colored ? Blocks.
- Made other adjustments to game balance and fixed other issues to improve the gameplay experience.
Lastly, Mario Strikers: Battle League is available now for Nintendo Switch worldwide, and a demo is available to download from the Nintendo eShop.
