Falcom and UserJoy announced a mobile game adaptation of the upcoming The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War anime is in development.
During UserJoy’s latest financials report, the company announced the The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War mobile game is on track for a release in 2023. UserJoy expects a closed beta test to be held in the first quarter of 2023 in Japan. Further, the full release is expected within the second quarter of 2023.
Further details about the upcoming mobile game were not revealed, but UserJoy will reveal information about the game and the anime in 2023. UserJoy’s Akatsuki no Kiseki is still active in Japan, so Japanese players may catch up on the game while waiting for the new title (Thanks, @Hansuke21)
2023 will be an important year for Falcom’s Trails and Ys franchises. The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure finally makes its worldwide debut in March 2023. The highly-anticipated release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie follows up in Summer 2023. Before the end of September 2023, Falcom will release three new Nintendo Switch games including Ys X.
The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN- is available now for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Japan and Asia.
