Falcom will launch three new Nintendo Switch games in fiscal year ending on September 30, 2023 including the next entry in the Ys series, Ys X.
Ys X is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 within the next 10 months or so in Japan. The other two games are currently unannounced. Falcom confirmed the latest news in its earnings report for fiscal year ending on September 30, 2022.
Previously, Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo revealed musical composition for Ys X was one of the next tasks to complete in development. Ys 35th anniversary plans are moving forward as intended. Additionally, Kondo wants to shorten the gap between Japanese and western launches for Falcom titles.
Multiple Trails series games are releasing in the west next year including The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure and The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie. The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure launches March 14, 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie releases in summer 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
