In a new development update for Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2, CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama revealed the game’s current status and when fans will learn about the release date.
According to Matsuyama, development of Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 is progressing “exceedingly well,” which he claims is “quite rare” in modern game development. Fans won’t have to wait much longer for more information as the game’s next update will arrive in January 2023. Although more information was originally due for this fall, the next update is the most important yet for the upcoming sequel.
The January 2023 update will reveal Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2’s release date. A new patch for Fuga: Melodies of Steel will release in January as well. CyberConnect2 wanted to share more details about the sequel, but development of the new patch prompted the team to focus on making improvements based on player feedback. This feedback would prove vital for the patch coming to the first game and development for the sequel. According to RPGSite, UI improvements are expected within the new patch based on past criticism by players.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 launches in 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
