The latest issue of Famitsu reveals Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 releases in 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S (Thanks, Ryokutya2089).
Currently, development of the sequel is 60% complete. Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2’s scenario is roughly double that of the original game. CyberConnect2’s original concept for Fuga: Melodies of Steel is to develop a trilogy of games.
The sequel’s story is set one year after the true ending of the original game, and Malt is the protagonist. The story is influenced by the player’s decisions in an overall “judgment system.” These decisions have ramifications for the main story and relationships between characters. Players should expect revenge elements in the sequel according to CyberConnect2.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 features an enhanced battle system with new weapons and refined operations, including airship support. As a result, combat may feel more intuitive and faster paced. Turbo Mode is available from the start. Additionally, the game offers branching paths.
Players with Fuga: Melodies of Steel save data or true ending save data will receive a bonus in the sequel. Lastly, more details about the sequel, including a release date, are coming soon.
