In a new interview at Famitsu, CyberConnect2 president Hiroshi Matsuyama confirmed that a new game reveal is coming this summer! CyberConnect2 will reveal a sequel to Fuga: Melodies of Steel in July 2022. According to Matsuyama, the original strategy RPG was initially planned to be developed in a trilogy. The tentative title for the sequel internally is “Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2” but the title is subject to change. Matsuyama also shared a status update on Tokyo Ogre Gate and Cecile as both action games are still in active development. Tokyo Ogre Gate and Cecile are running on in-house hardware and CyberConnect 2 is adjusting in-game systems. In the meantime, fans can look forward to the new Samurai DLC for Fuga: Melodies of Steel releasing this March. Fuga: Melodies of Steel is out now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC via Steam.
